Winemaker's Notes The 2006 Zinfandel is from a single 35 year old vineyard in St. Helena (Rutherford Appellation). The vineyard belongs to our Vineyard manager's mother. The wine is 100% Zinfandel and was aged 20 months with 14% new French oak. This is a full-bodied wine with strawberry and ripe plum fruit finishing with a hint of black pepper. This is a versatile wine that pairs well with spicy foods. Try with a pasta and sausage dish, Asian fare, barbecue, or your favorite seafood.
