"The 2005 Barahonda Tinto is almost as good. Produced from 100% Monastrell and raised in stainless steel, this dark ruby-colored wine has an attractive nose of forest floor, mineral, and blueberry. It has a supple palate-feel, sweet fruit, and excellent balance but it is just a bit more compact on the mid-palate and shorter on the finish than the Carro. Nevertheless, it is a superb value."
