Rating  Wine Spectator 95 points The stunning 2004 Shiraz Coach House Block reveals a deep ruby/purple hue and plenty of blackberry, cassis, pepper, and smoky, toasty oak flavors. It is an in-your-face wine with beautiful purity as well as intensity. It should be drunk over the next 10-12 years. This ultrarich and decadent Shiraz comes from old vines in Greenock, a prime growing area in the Barossa. They make heady wines that don’t weigh you down like some big Shiraz can. This one has zippy acidity to balance the generous layers of black cherry, boysenberry and black plum flavors, shaded with bittersweet chocolate and smoke notes as the finish becomes increasingly plush.
